Join a fast-growing software group, and combine controlling, compliance and business partnering in one role

The Nordic activity is growing fast and already comprises more than 20 business units in 5 countries and around 700 employees. Denmark and Iceland have a holding company, 6 business units and approximately 260 employees.
Role in the organization
As Financial Controller / Compliance Partner, you hold a key position in the finance organization and become an integral part of the Danish Finance Team. You will be based at Total Specific Solutions Nordic's HQ in Ballerup and report to the Manager Finance & Control Denmark/Iceland.
The role combines responsibility for financial controlling, compliance and audit activities with a strong business partnering focus. You work closely with senior management and multiple Business Units across the organization, and you have independent responsibility for an existing Business Unit while contributing to the integration of future acquisitions.
You also help develop the finance function and play an active role in cross-functional initiatives that support the organization's ongoing focus on efficiency, innovation and the application of new technologies, including AI.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Financial controlling and reporting: Ensure high-quality financial controlling, reporting and analysis, take ownership of the financial controlling activities of an assigned Business Unit, and support Business Units with financial insight and performance management.
• Acquisitions: Support the financial integration of future acquisitions.
• Compliance and audit: Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations and governance requirements.
• Internal controls and tax: Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks, and support tax-related matters and compliance activities.
• Business support: Act as a key sparring partner to management and Business Unit leaders, collaborate closely with local and international stakeholders, and provide financial guidance and decision support for the business.
• Process improvement and transformation: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects across the organization.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a background as an auditor and/or financial controller and at least 10 years of relevant experience within finance, controlling, accounting or audit. You combine strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of business operations, and you are used to working in a complex environment with multiple business units.
We imagine that you have:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong technical expertise in accounting, compliance, internal controls and taxation.
• The ability to drive continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
• Experience contributing to the implementation and use of AI and other technologies within accounting, controlling and reporting.
• Experience working in a complex, multi-business-unit environment.
• A proven ability to manage and deliver cross-functional projects.
• Fluency in both Danish and English, spoken and written, which is a requirement.
• Experience with acquisitions and post-merger integration, which is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central and OneStream, which is preferred.
As a person, you are proactive, curious and analytically strong, with a high sense of ownership and accountability. You are commercially minded, communicate well and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. You work independently, drive initiatives to completion and are comfortable with deadlines and a dynamic, evolving business environment. You have a positive, can-do attitude and identify with TSS's core values: innovative, dedicated and entrepreneurial.
What TSS offers
At TSS, you get a key position with independent responsibility and close collaboration with senior management and Business Unit leaders. You will help develop the finance function and gain exposure to acquisitions, international stakeholders and the practical use of AI and new technologies in finance.
You will become part of a fast-growing Nordic organization within an international software group built on a buy-and-build strategy, where best practices are shared across companies.
